Design and Construction

Group two used styrofoam and toothpicks to build a skyscraper. Each piece of styrofoam measured 2" high, each toothpick measured 2 inches long. Each toothpick with styrofoam on each end represented a wall 12 foot high wall. After a period of building they discussed as a class the importance of measurement.

What will this building look like? - It will have 18 stories with 20 windows on each side, six doors on each side, escalators connecting each floor and 4 elevators on each side.
What will this building be used for? - People will use this building to work in.
Who is going to use this building? - Everyone who has their office here.

What is the building to be used for? - A News Center
What will this building be made out of? - Glass, plastic, tile & carpet.
Describe your building? - It will have 20 floors with 6 rooms and 4 bathrooms on each floor. The floors will be made of tile. There will be double doors, a wooden ramp and 5 elevators.
